Located in South Devon, Torquay Rowing Club was founded on 3rd May 1869 by Colonel H Luxmore 'when boats were made of wood and men made of steel'. The oldest sporting club in Torbay continues to promote the sport of rowing under the motto 'Verrimus Aequor Remis' meaning 'We Sweep The Sea With Our Oars'.

Members' Notices:Plainmoor Pool has been booked for the Capsize Drill and Swim Test at 6:30pm on Sunday 18th July, 2010. Anyone who has not done this since joining the club should make every effort to attend. More details are available on the Notice Board in the Boathouse.
Now in it's 197th year, Torbay Royal Regatta will take place on Saturday 21st August 2010. Entries for Rowing Events are invited from clubs within WEARA and further afield. The first race will be at 10:00am. More info ...
